| Project Objectives: • Renew and rehabilitate the technology, equipment and buildings at the present radio production site so that the radio can have good working conditions. • Give education and training to radio staff, technicians and producers, so that the radio can have an effective program production. • Make it possible for the radio to broadcast at the right point of time for the different group of listeners. • Make it possible to increase the brodcast time for educational programs to at least 3 hours per day. • Contribute to the development of relevant programs with supporting material. |

Implementation: • Rehabilitation of the old school radio studio, building and production equipment. • Building of new blocks with maintenance-, archive- , meeting, storage and office rooms. • Building of a transmission studio and installation of new production equipment. • Develop a transmitter network that covers the whole country. • Arrange training for the radio staff in radio production with particularly focus on school radio programs. • Arrange seminars and courses for the radio staff in relevant themes for Burundi such as Human rights, Reconciliation, Aids information etc. • Develop educational radio programs for the class room. • Develop school material to follow up the school radio lessons. |
